Well, spring quarter just started up, so I haven't been shooting much. Unfortunately, I'm not taking a shooting class this quarter, but I did recently join the staff of Thread Magazine, a new online fashion magazine that is starting up on campus. Its actually really exciting because as a freshman, I'm already being given assignments and opportunities that just didn't exist on campus before. I'll post some photos I have taken so far for the first issue. They aren't very interesting, to be honest, because my first assignment was for an article about the local clothing shops. I Need a Project. Ideas welcome. Well the problem is that I need to keep taking pictures. I need all the practice I can get. BUT my current photography shooting class is ending, and I don't take another until next school year. I really can't let myself get lazy (like I did over the summer). I can't let my camera get dusty!!! So... if anyone knows a good LIST or PERSONAL PHOTO PROJECT that could keep me busy, I'd really appreciate it. Love, s.s.

Yesterday was a crazy day of shooting (and painting). I have an assignment due on Wednesday for a six-part fashion series. After many many various concepts, I ended up doing a series of painted women. Each headshot/woman embodied a different period in art history. So, the six in order were: Beka as Primitive Art, Jenny as Classic/Grecian Sculpture, Heather as the Dark Ages, Alicia as Neo-Classical, Dori as Transitional, and MacKenzie as Modern Art. It took all day, but I really think that I worked out well. Its the biggest fashion shoot I've ever done, so I'm pretty proud of it. I even had an art student assist me with the painting. I'll po
